KCTGA Mission Statement
The Association is formed for the following purposes:
* To promote the interests of the Christmas tree industry and the forestry program in Kansas;
* To bring its members together for their mutual benefits so that common problems may be solved through the exchange of ideas, experience, and cooperative efforts;
* To engage in any activity relating to the production of high quality Christmas trees and associated products;
* To engage in the marketing of Kansas grown Christmas trees;
* To educate the consumer and the general public about the Christmas tree industry;
* To cooperate with local, state and federal agencies and law making bodies on matters affecting the industry;
* To keep its members informed concerning current developments and research involving the Christmas tree industry;
* To engage in any other projects that will aid in the development of practical solutions for problems incidental to the production and marketing of Christmas trees and related products.
Benefits of KCTGA Membership
As a member of the Kansas Christmas Tree Grower's Association you will benefit in the following ways:
1. Your name and farm will be listed in our KCTGA membership directory.
2. You can list your farm along with the services, tree species, and other features of your tree farm on the KCTGA web site.
3. You have the opportunity to attend summer and winter KCTGA meetings with sessions on production, marketing and other relative issues to the Christmas tree industry. You will see successful tree farms, equipment demonstrations and solutions for insect and disease problems.
4. You will receive the quarterly Christmas Trees Magazine as a part of your membership.
5. You will have a source to learn about the Christmas tree industry through contact with speakers, fellow growers, agencies, and associations.
6. You will be kept up to date with national issues affecting the Christmas tree industry by our Kansas NCTGA director.
7. You will have the opportunity to contribute your ideas, suggestions, and experiences in raising and selling Christmas trees and associated products.
